The South African Driving School Operators Association (SADSOA) is the largest and most representative organization for driving school operators across South Africa. Since our foundation in 2008, we have been committed to elevating industry standards, advocating for regulation, and supporting our members in delivering quality driver education.  

Our Vision: We aspire to be the leading voice for driving school operators in South Africa, uniting all nine provinces under a shared goal of industry regulation, professionalism, and growth. We aim to have a fully regulated industry, with SADSOA recognized as the authoritative body representing driving schools, fostering safer roads and empowered operators.

Join SADSOA

2008

Founding of SADSOA 

Established at Leribisi Lodge in Pretoria East with representatives from KZN, Northwest, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and Gauteng provinces.

First Leadership: Mr. G Nkosi from KZN elected as Interim President with Mr. A Wessie as Interim Chairperson.

Provincial Expansion:  First provincial structure launched in Northwest Province on September 26, with Mr. Glen Kgaladi elected as the first NW Provincial Chairperson.

2008-2023

Advocacy Period:  17 years of persistent lobbying with the National Department of Transport, Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC), and Provincial Departments.

National Growth: Expansion to include all nine provinces of South Africa.

Industry Voice: Emerged as the leading voice for driving school operators nationwide.

2023

Regulatory Achievement
