The South African Driving School Operators Association (SADSOA) in the Northern Cape has called on government to expedite the enforcement of the new Driving School Regulation Law that was passed in December 2024.
During a recent feature on SABC News, SADSOA representatives explained that for more than 15 years, the Association has been advocating for the regulation of driving schools across South Africa.
They emphasised that standardised regulations are essential to improving road safety, ensuring qualified instruction, and reducing road accidents and fatalities.
This renewed call follows the successful SADSOA National Summit Conference 2025 in Kimberley, where national leaders gathered to discuss the implementation of the regulation law and the rollout of the new instructor curriculum.
Through collaboration with the Department of Transport, RTMC, and RTIA, SADSOA remains dedicated to ensuring that the long-awaited regulation framework is effectively implemented — professionalising the industry and promoting safer roads for all.
